About DiaDan Holdings Ltd.
DiaDan Holdings Ltd. is a private holding and media production company headquartered in Nova Scotia, Canada. The firm is best known for its previous ownership of the Evergreen Stage, a famous recording facility and occasional venue located in Los Angeles, California.
The Evergreen Stage boasts a hallowed place in the rich history of 20th and 21st century music, having served as a premiere recording location for over 40 years. It has hosted many of the music industry's biggest stars, including Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Billy Joel, Placido Domingo, and Justin Timberlake
Before being transformed into a recording studio, the building that hosts the Evergreen Stage was originally the Magnolia Theatre, a movie theater built in the 1940s. In its older form, the theater's signature feature was a marquee topped with a 170-foot pylon meant to emulate the Eiffel Tower. The Magnolia Theater has been featured in several movies, including Pushover, Night Moves, and La La Land. In 1964, it underwent a complete overhaul, installing a new marquee, a new box office, air conditioning, and remodeling its front facade in Italian marble.
The Magnolia Theater closed in 1979. It was then converted into a fully-equipped recording studio which was dubbed the Evergreen Stage. DiaDan Holdings Ltd. purchased the Evergreen Stage in 2010, overseeing its operations for more than half a decade before selling it in 2016. During DiaDan’s tenure of ownership, the Evergreen Stage continued to be a premier recording location for musical artists and was also used as a soundstage for several movie and television projects.
